Constructing a New Wall
TIMBER FRAME WALL
Installing TLX Silver across the front of timber frame studs provides thermal insulation, a vapour barrier and leads to excellent airtightness. Use of TLX Silver reduces the thickness of insulation required between studs, possibly allowing a smaller stud to be used. A batten and plasterboard creates a service cavity. This ensures that the air and vapour barrier is not penetrated by pipes or wires when fitting services.
